Derek McInnes, John McGlynn and Gary Naysmith are Managers and Coaches Association of Scotland manager of the year nominees

Hearts' Derek McInnes, John McGlynn of Falkirk and Gary Naysmith of League One side Stenhousemuir have been nominated for the SPFL manager of the year award.

In conjunction with the Managers and Coaches Association of Scotland, McInnes has been nominated for guiding Hearts to the brink of a first Premiership title since 1966.

The Jambos are three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, having led the way virtually all season.

Hearts are unbeaten in the league at Tynecastle Park since the 54-year-old took charge last summer and have lost just four games during this season's campaign.

McGlynn is going for a record third consecutive manager of the year award after winning the prize in 2024 and 2025 as he continues to take Falkirk to new levels.

After back-to-back promotions, the Bairns secured a top-six finish in their first season back in the Scottish Premiership.

Stenhousemuir have impressed under Naysmith this season and are unbeaten at home in League One.

The Warriors are two points behind Inverness Caley Thistle in the title race with one game remaining as they look to win promotion to the Scottish Championship for the first time.

It could be a double for Hearts this season with Eva Olid on the SWPL shortlist.

They are currently two points clear at the top of the table and in contention to win the women's title for the first time.

Glasgow City are up to second in the table, with Leanne Ross also nominated as she looks to win her second league trophy as head coach - after 13 wins as a player at the club.

Gary Holt makes up the shortlist after guiding Partick Thistle to a top-six finish in the SWPL.

The former Kilmarnock and Falkirk midfielder, who has also managed the Bairns and Livingston, took charge at the Jags in November.

Hearts duo Claudio Braga and Lawrence Shankland are up against Elijah Just and Tawanda Maswanhise of Motherwell for the PFA Scotland player of the year award.

Rangers' Mikey Moore is included in the young player category along with Barney Stewart of Falkirk, Arbroath's Findlay Marshall and Dundee's Luke Graham.

PFA Scotland have also revealed the women's player and young player nominees.

Glasgow City duo Lee Gibson and Nicole Kozlova are shortlisted with Georgia Timms of Hearts and Rangers forward Katie Wilkinson.

Rangers pair Laura Berry and May Cruft, Hibernian's Rosie Livingstone and Lisa Forrest of Glasgow City are up for the young player prize.

Aberdeen's Marko Lazetic, Celtic's Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor, Hyun-Jun Yang and Sebastian Tounekti, Dundee's Ethan Hamilton, Zac Sapsford of Dundee United, Falkirk's Kyrell Wilson, Hearts' Alex Kyziridis, Ben Brannan of Kilmarnock, plus Rangers pair Jayden Meghoma and Youssef Chermiti are up for the award.
