Another fun option is "Toilet Tag." In this game, players must tag others from behind, and the tagged player must squat down like a toilet. The only way they can be unfrozen is if another player crawls through their legs.

Backyard Bowling

Transform empty plastic bottles into bowling pins by painting them and filling them with water to weigh them down. Set them up in a triangle formation and use a small inflatable ball to knock them down.

Plus, they're perfect for those rainy days when you need to keep the kids entertained indoors but still want to incorporate a garden theme.

Scavenger Hunts

Create a list of items found in nature, like different types of leaves, flowers, or rocks. Send the kids on a scavenger hunt to find these items in the garden. You can make it more challenging by including riddles or clues for each item.

Once they've collected everything, help them identify and learn more about each item. This activity promotes curiosity and helps children appreciate the natural world.

Garden Bingo

Design a bingo card with images of common garden plants, flowers, or animals. Call out the items, and have the kids mark them off on their card. The first one to get a line (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) shouts "Bingo!"

For an added twist, have the kids describe the item or its characteristics before marking it off. This encourages observation and communication skills.

As the sun sets on your garden playtime, remember that the most important thing is creating lasting memories. These outdoor garden games ideas for kids provide a great starting point, but don't be afraid to adapt and create your own unique activities. Happy playing!
