Ever dreamt of adding a touch of elegance to your Minecraft world? A fountain can be a stunning centerpiece, and creating one is easier than you might think. In this guide, we’ll show you how to make a fountain in Minecraft using arrows, a unique and captivating design that’s sure to impress. So, grab your crafting table and let’s dive in!
Before we start, ensure you have the necessary materials. For this arrow fountain, you’ll need a bucket of water, a dispenser, and of course, arrows. You’ll also need a crafting table to create the dispenser. Now, let’s get started!

Crafting the Dispenser
The dispenser is the heart of our arrow fountain. It’s what will shoot the arrows into the water, creating that beautiful fountain effect. To craft a dispenser, you’ll need 7 cobblestone and 1 redstone dust.
Here’s how to craft it:
- Place 7 cobblestone in the crafting grid, leaving the middle square empty.
- In the middle square, place the redstone dust.
- You’ll now see a dispenser in the output box. Drag it to your inventory.
Placing the Dispenser
Now that we have our dispenser, it’s time to place it. For this design, we’ll place it under a water source. This will create the illusion that the arrows are shooting up from the water.
Here’s how to do it:

- Find a suitable location for your fountain. A flat surface near a water source works best.
- Place the dispenser facing upwards. This is the direction the arrows will shoot.
- Fill the dispenser with arrows. To do this, right-click on the dispenser with an arrow in your hand. It will take 64 arrows.
Creating the Water Source
If you don’t have a water source nearby, don’t worry. You can create one using a bucket of water. Here’s how:
- Find a water body or use a bucket to collect water.
- Right-click on the ground where you want the water source to be. This will place a water block.
- Make sure the water block is directly above the dispenser.
Firing the Arrows
With the dispenser placed and filled with arrows, it’s time to make them shoot. For this, we’ll use redstone mechanisms.
Here’s a simple way to do it:

Using a Repeater
A repeater can be used to trigger the dispenser at regular intervals. Here’s how to set it up:
- Place a repeater next to the dispenser. The repeater should be facing the dispenser.
- Set the repeater to the desired delay. This is how often the arrows will shoot.
- Power the repeater using redstone dust or a redstone block.
Using a Lever
If you prefer manual control, a lever can be used to trigger the dispenser on demand. Here’s how:
- Place a lever next to the repeater. The lever should be facing the repeater.
- When you want the arrows to shoot, simply flip the lever.
And there you have it! Your unique arrow fountain is now complete. Watch in awe as arrows shoot up from the water, creating a mesmerizing display. This design is sure to add a touch of sophistication to any Minecraft build. Happy crafting!
